ÓBrien's Tower- Cliffs of Moher- County Clare Ireland
Image of O'Brien's Tower and tourboat at the Cliffs of Moher. ÓBrien's Tower is the highest point on the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, Ireland. It was built in 1835 by Cornelius ÓBrien as an observation tower to accommodate the increasing numbers of tourists coming to visit this remarkable region of the Irish Atlantic coast. The coastal villages of Doolin and Liscanoor are nearby. Two ferry companies operate tours of the ocean side of the cliffs out of Doolin Harbor.
The tourboat in the photo is about 214 meters (700 feet) below the tower.
