Road to Cahergall- Cahersiveen, Ireland
In Ireland earthen forts are called "Raths", while stone forts are "Cashels". Whether made from earth or stone, they are all called Ringforts.
Since they are constructed through multiple periods of time they are difficult to date. Cahergall has been dated to the Late Bronze Age. It is close to Castlecarbery in County Kerry.
