Photo of Samuel Beckett bridge from the Jeanie Johnson- Dublin, Ireland.
Named after the Irish writer Samuel Beckett, the Samuel Beckett bridge was designed by architect Santiago Calatrava. It was designed to represent a harp, Ireland's national symbol. It can rotate open to allow for river traffic to pass. It was opened in December of 2009.
