At their highest point they rise 700 feet above the ocean. On clear days can be seen the Aran Islands in Galway Bay, and several mountains. The cliffs are near the towns of Liscanoor and Doolin. Almost one million people visit the Cliffs of Moher every year making it one of the most popular sites in the Republic of Ireland.
