Photo of Great Hall in Caephilly Castle, Wales.
Caerphilly Castle is a medieval castle constructed in the 13th century in Caerphilly in South Wales. It was the first concentric castle in Britain and protected by artificial lakes and moats. So well designed that it was never conquered by siege. It is an interesting and popular tourist attraction and has undergone extensive restoration.
