Black & white photo of the Cathedral of Learning in Pittsburgh PA. The Cathedral of Learning ("Cathy") is the centerpiece landmark on the University of Pittsburgh main campus. At 535 feet tall, it is the tallest educational building in the western hemisphere and is in the National Register of Historic Places.
Construction began in 1926 and the building was dedicated in 1937. In addition to it's educational facilities the Cathedral of Learning is famous for its 30 Nationality Rooms depicting life in various cultures around the world.
